Seattle Seahawks Punch Play-off Spot with Nail-biting Overtime Victory over Rams.

Game-winning play in the extra period

Receiver Saubert made the game-winning two-point conversion for the Seahawks.

The Seattle Seahawks engineered a remarkable comeback to defeat the Los Angeles Rams in overtime, securing their spot in the postseason.

Rallying from a sixteen-point deficit in the final period, the Seattle squad emerged victorious 38-37 at home, notching their fifth consecutive win.

While the Rams had become the first to earn a post-season berth earlier on game day, the Seahawks booked their return to the postseason after a 24-month hiatus.

With this result, the Seahawks have taken over their division's standings with a twelve and three record, supplanting the Rams, who fell to the number five playoff position with an eleven and four standing.

Game Recap

Quarterback Sam Darnold threw two picks but regrouped to deliver two scoring throws, including the tying TD to star receiver Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The visitors held a 13-7 advantage at half-time before Walker burst through for a long touchdown run for Seattle.

Los Angeles defensive back Josh Wallace then returned Darnold's first pick for 56 yards, leading to a short touchdown by Blake Corum on the ensuing snap.

In the fourth quarter, a touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Nacua extended the Rams' lead to 30-14, but Shaheed ignited Seattle's hope with a spectacular return for a score.

Darnold then found AJ Barner in the endzone, and a converted conversion forced the contest into an extra period.

Although Puka Nacua raced in for his another touchdown in OT, Jaxon Smith-Njigba responded in kind to set up the game-winning conversion.
